Locations: South Rim of the Grand Canyon

There are 6 main View Point locations on the South Rim, each offering something a little different. Some points are available seasonally, some offer more space than others to accomodate wedding guests, and only one Point offers picnic tables, a covered pavilion, grills and the ability to hold an outdoor wedding reception. If you are eloping to the Grand Canyon you will be required to pay a fee for an approved permit for your chosen location. Some locations offer more adventurous views than others, while some offer extremely easy access. The North Rim of the Grand Canyon has its own beauty, a couple viewpoints and specific lodging options with limited accessibility between May 15 - Oct 15.

How do I know what location to choose for my Grand Canyon Wedding?

The location you choose will depend on availability as well as how many guests you will need space for. Each location has a guest limit, as well as a seasonal availability. Some locations are only open during the winter months. The North Rim of the Grand Canyon is only open during the warmer months.

Where do I hold my reception?

There is only one location along the South Rim to have an outdoor wedding with reception. Shoshone Point offers picnic tables, bathrooms, bbq’s and trash cans along with a spectacular viewpoint. Indoor wedding receptions must be held at local hotels, including Surrounding towns of Williams, AZ and Flagstaff, AZ.
