Top 2 Grand Canyon Elopement Locations
Grand Canyon elopement locations are seasonal due to winter snow closures. The most popular fair weather location is Shoshone Point, due to it’s exclusive private location behind a locked gate without signage. Typically only the local hikers know about this spot, and they must be willing to walk the one mile dirt road to access it. Upon your approved permit, you will have access to the gate code and 5 parking spots dedicated to your wedding at the point.
The actual view point is approximately 100 yards from the covered picnic tables, restrooms and your appointed parking spot. There is no running water or electric. Catering is allowed and can be listed on your permit application.
Grandeur Pt. is very popular due to it’s easy access from the parking lot, a paved 1000’ pathway to the view point, easy for your guests to navigate, close to bathrooms and next door to the geological museum for entertaining your guests prior. The permit fees are very reasonable, with Grandeur Pt accessible all year.
